The stage did not feel contained. Space bent. Transitions were seamless. What really might have been theatrical tricks, instead, felt like a new set of physical laws.
At times it played with the scope and fluidity of cinema, yet it wildly never lost the immediacy of live performance.
And the physicality was…extraordinary.
This was not decorative movement. It was narrative carried in the body. Tension lived in posture. Breath drove momentum. The ensemble operated with such unity and control it felt architectural, precise, intentional.
Every element worked in alignment. Nothing extraneous. Nothing indulgent. Just craft at its highest level, and it paid off.
The show was an inspiring masterpiece, and one I will be thinking about for a long time.
If you are in NYC, it’s a must-see!!
