My interest in the science of good design began in the mid-2000s, when, as a broke university student looking for lunch money, I found myself designing posters for a CBC concert series. What started as necessity quickly became fascination.

After graduating, I joined a software development company in the entertainment industry as a marketing coordinator. There, I began to push beyond my role, negotiating space to work in advertising and creative development. That early exposure sharpened my understanding of how design functions not only aesthetically, but strategically.

With experience behind me, I launched my own advertising and design firm, consulting with marketing agencies, publications, and independent ventures. More than a decade later, design remains a throughline across everything I build, shaping how ideas are formed, communicated, and brought into the world.
